Whew we made the long train ride to Florence where we met Suzie and had lunch. Then it was another train up here to Marradi in the mountains. A nice fire and some wine finished the day. I am beat and slept like a rock. Its nice to b barefoot again. Suzie has 2 sweet dogs - Chinese crested. The house is spacious and 3 miles out of town. It's steep and forested and there is a nip of autumn. I was too tired carrying my pack yesterday to take a picture of the Duomo in Florence but here is one of the view from our bedroom
